The North York Moors National Park is right on the doorstep. Cropton Forest is just 3 miles north for walking. Whitby is 18 miles away and Scarborough with its two sandy beaches and castle is 23 miles.

To reach Granary At Mels Cottages by car, head north from Pickering towards Newton-on-Rawcliffe. The village is well signposted from the B1257 and surrounding roads. On-site parking is available when you arrive.
The nearest railway station is Malton, approximately 12 miles south-west of the property. From Malton you can take a taxi directly to Newton-on-Rawcliffe. Pickering is also served by the North Yorkshire Moors Railway for scenic travel across the moors.
