The Stables Slingsby is an exquisite barn conversion sleeping 4 guests across 2 bedrooms in Slingsby, North Yorkshire. Sitting on the edge of the Howardian Hills AONB this property has sumptuous interiors with flagstone flooring and underfloor heating a feature fireplace and a statement period wall. It joined the collection in 2019 and is managed by Rachel.

The south-facing courtyard is a genuine suntrap. Slingsby Castle is just 1 mile away. Helmsley is 9.5 miles north-west and York is roughly 30 minutes by car. Great walks start right from the door and there are trails and bike routes nearby too.

Two bedrooms sleep 4. The first is a king-size zip-and-link (convertible to twin). The second is a twin (convertible to king-size zip-and-link). Both have their own bathrooms one en-suite with a stone shower and one wet-room. Downstairs bedroom and bathroom make this accessible for all.

Helmsley Birds of Prey Centre (9.5 miles) Castle Howard (7 miles) Pickering Castle (12 miles) and York city centre (22 miles) are all within easy reach.

The Stables barn is so thoughtfully done and really well equipped! There are even dressing gowns and Molton Brown products in the bathrooms. A lovely welcome basket of goodies on the table and wine in the fridge definitely made us feel at home in North Yorkshire. The area is beautiful, with plenty to explore. Malton, the foodie town, isn't farand Castle Howard is only four miles away. We would definitely recommend this place!

We absolutely loved this gorgeous barn conversion in a fantastic location. The photos on the website really don't do it justice at all. The outside space is so thoughtfully planned out. We share the outside area with another barn, but each has its own screened space for privacy, which is great around the hot tubs. The gym, saunaand games barn are shared facilities, but they are a brilliant addition. There are amazing walks right from your doorstep, especially to the pub in the neighbouring village, just a quick walk across the fields.

We had a lovely time in September 2021. The cottage was very clean, warm and really well equipped. The hot tub was secluded enough for us to totally unwind. We made use of the gym and sauna, plus the games room was a nice touch. It's situated right in the heart of Yorkshire, close to loads of attractions like Filey, Whitby, York, Helmsley and Castle Howard, all within a 45-minute drive. There are plenty of local restaurants nearby, with some just a short walk away. Perfect for anyone wanting an accessible property. The welcome hamper was a nice surprise too. 5 stars all around!
