Sleeping 12 guests, the five-bedroom barn offers sumptuous accommodation and a south-facing courtyard garden, complete with a hot tub. Nestled in an exceptional setting in undulating North Yorkshire, it is situated near Gilling West, 3.5 miles from Richmond, and is the perfect place to create magical memories with your family and friends. Enter the handsome building, which has been exquisitely converted from its former incarnation as a hay barn. Discover the large lounge/diner, with its huge windows, revealed stonework and honey-coloured wooden floor and beams, is the perfect place to congregate after your trips out. Light the open fire in here on crisp autumn and winter days and gather in its cosy glow to play games or watch a film on TV. Prepare hearty Yorkshire feasts in the generous kitchen/diner then dine in here or in the main room against the picturesque countryside backdrop. There is also a useful utility room. All five bedrooms at the barn are stunning, with luxurious finishes and far-reaching views. These include four king-size and one family or childrenâ€™s room featuring four single beds. In total there are three en-suite shower rooms and two en-suite bathrooms; one bedroom even features a free-standing bath. The barn also has a separate WC. Light the BBQ and fire up the hot tub out in the courtyard garden. Head off on walks through the scenic estate then return to your private garden to while away summer evenings together, chatting over a bottle of wine. Make group excursions into Richmond to explore the historic, market town and see the Norman castle. Plan a walk from here along the River Swale to the ruins of Easby Abbey, 1 mile away. Organise longer hikes through the fabulous Yorkshire Dales, 4 miles away.

If you are after comfort, privacy and a brilliant host then this is the place for you. It was spotlessly clean, well equipped and perfectly located, we can't recommend this holiday let enough. Superb value for money and each room has the most comfy beds you could imagine. There were 10 of usand there was loads of space with views and walks to die for. We've come back feeling completely relaxed and pampered. The hot tub was an added bonus. Highly, highly recommended!
