The Farm House Reviews

Adrian
What a beautiful and spacious house this. It must take some looking after. The beds are really comfortable and the bathrooms are great to. We had 10 with us so every toilet was welcome. From walking in to leaving it was fantastic. I only have 1 bad thing to say is take pjs but only shorts and tshirt because the house is rather hot. And with underfloor heating it was great. The chocolates and prosecco on arrival too which was a class act. Thanks for a great weekend
Our first time at the farmhouse & we loved our short stay. Nice & spacious with complimentary Prosecco & chocolates being a nice greeting. The beds were super comfortable & the master en suite bedroom definitely had the wow factor We did get in the wood fired hot tub but it takes a few hours to get the temperature hot enough to get in. The men loved the games room. Plenty of parking & the dog loved his stay too.

Lovely stay. We had a great time which would have been even better if the hot tub was ready for us on arrival. Little things like only one pool cue, no tip on the other window in dining room broke water coming through window frame where Christmas tree was. If these things were addressed it would have been perfect.

This is a fabulous place! It's spacious, cosy and well equipped. We all loved every aspect of it, the games room was a hit with our younger family members and the converted gym for the older ones. The hot tub was an added bonus on a frosty evening, and lots of fun was had by all. If I have any criticism it would be that the kitchen equipment is very old, there was a faulty socket and the blind in the bedroom was defective. There were no hairdryers but one quick message to the owner solved that and he delivered one in a jiffy. It needs a bit of a deep clean, it was very dusty but all in all it is highly recommended.

This place was amazing. It slept 10 comfortably and there was so much space. It is of a high standard and well worth the cost. We have all had a brilliant time there and we will definitely be going back. It's peaceful with lovely views. Horses in the fields next to the house and birds of prey landing on tge hedges was great to see. 1010 from us
We had a fantastic weekend away at the Farmhouse, it truly has the wow factor. The whole place was warm and welcoming from the moment we arrived. It was toasty warm even without the log burners, though we lit them in the evenings for the lovely, cosy ambience. The furnishings, bed linen and overall comfort were excellent. Our bed in the main suite felt like sleeping on a cloud, with sumptuously soft pillows. We cooked some lovely meals during our stay, full English breakfasts, a proper Sunday roast and more. The oven worked very well, but the hob was a little frustrating as the temperature kept cutting out. It didnt spoil anything, but it was a bit annoying at times. We played darts, snooker and family games. One tip for future guests if youre serious players, bring your own darts and snooker cues, as the ones provided arent great quality. The woodfired hot tub was fabulous. Yes, it takes a bit of time to heat up, but once hot, it stayed that way all weekend and was perfect for relaxing with a glass of champagne.
The house is lovely, spacious and comfortable. We came away from our stay with lots of extra special memories to treasure. To make it even better for future guests the games room needs brighter lighting, tips on all the pool cues and a full set of darts!

Wow, what a weekend! We celebrated a special birthday at the house with family and it was amazing! Totally wowed by the house itself, stunning!! Bedrooms were beautiful too with very comfortable beds, luxury! Kitchen perfect place to party with everything you need! Games room was a nice bonus too for the children. Lovely having the horses a stone throw away ans the children enjoyed feeding them Would highly recommend and we would love to stay again xx
An absolute gem of a property in a fantastic location for those who want to get ... An absolute gem of a property in a fantastic location for those who want to get away from it all but have all the comfort of a superb home Highly recommended
We had the most amazing family weekend and the house was in the perfect location and setting. Comfy beds and bedding, games room for entertainment, a gym to potter in and luxurious lounge areas. Just a couple of niggles which if sorted would make it a true 5Star property. The oven was terrible, the dishwasher needed the filter cleaning so was useless and despite beautiful coffee machines, there was no cafetire.
The house on arrival gave us that WOW feeling. The Farm House was very clean with lots of space for 10 guests. The arrival pack was a lovely gesture as it was our mums 93 birthday. The whole family thoroughly enjoyed their stay, especially the children who had the hot tub and the games room which made their stay a pleasurable one. We would definitely look to stay again.
One of the best houses we have stayed in, absolutely stunning.
The location is perfect, unreal to be honest, the grounds the house and the facilities are perfect, close proximity to major roads, fare enough away to be private. The house internally has everything you need for a break with a well designed kitchen for family time and get together. The beds where clean as was the house and most importantly comfortable, my only Criticism would be the exterior, more specifically the windows are well weathered with some actually beyond repair, a bit of TLC is this department would make the world of difference. Did it affect our stay though, absolutely not. Perfect house perfect setting, would I recommend it and stay again, Definitely..
We have just returned back from a weekend at The Farm House and we were blown away with how gorgeous it is. The photos on the listing dont do it justice. Its huge! Each bedroom is light and spacious with views of surrounding fields. The master bedroom is like a suite! It was the perfect venue and the property owners were accommodating to the couple of requests we had. Would definitely book again.
This property is a hidden gem. Short journey from home and perfect in every way. We were a family of 10 celebrating a 16th birthday, we had the most amazing time and would return in a heart beat. I would imagine this place would be equally as perfect in the summer months
The house overall is perfect for a family together or just relax. Looking out at sheep every morning and evening was lovely and added to this home. If you like your night skies, it's perfect. We only got one clear night in the stay but the stars were amazing.
The upkeep and maintenance of the property should be improved to reflect the 1300 price for 4 nights. The location is good and the property could be very good.
The house was absolute beautiful with a quality feel whilst being comfortable! We all had an amazing time. There was 11 of us, there was lots of room for us all and our teenagers loved the games room. We didnt even use the large dining room as it wasnt needed. There was only one issue for us and that was no fence for the garden. We had a dog who has a natural herding instinct. He was very well behaved but we took a long line lead with us so he still had a little bit of freedom but we couldnt truly relax knowing the sheep was in the other field. We did have an issue with not being able to turn the cooker on, we contacted the owners who were there within minutes and showed us how to work it, told us about the local pub and was available via text phone for a few non urgent queries. The wood burning Hot tub was great and easy to use and the wood was replenished when we asked bit of feedback could have a few seats around the hot tub area Richmond town was a short drive away. We also had a 20 minute walk down the bridal path to the local pub which is dog friendly and the locals were very welcoming. In a nutshell We would definitely return and had some amazing quality family time together in a beautiful environment. Thank you!
Wonderful property, absolutely huge and great layout for kids. Comfortable, cosy and hope to return one day. Highly recommend!!
This is a stunning property in an absolutely beautiful, peaceful location. Each room is beautifully furnished and made to feel very homely. The outdoor space is also lovely. There are only minor things that would have made our stay even more enjoyable hand wash in every bathroomtoilet rather than just one for the entire house. some guidance on the hot tub i.e how long it would take to heat spare gas canister for the outdoor table top fire it ran out 2 minutes after we fired it up!! Otherwise a wonderful stay, would definitely recommend.
