About Edmunds Cottage

Edmunds Cottage is a cosy two-bedroom retreat in the quiet village of Crakehall near Bedale in the lower Yorkshire Dales. This characterful cottage sits perfectly between the Yorkshire Dales National Park and North York Moors National Park. Want the best of both worlds? You've got it here. Perfect location for exploring multiple national parks without committing to just one.

The surrounding countryside offers endless walking opportunities. Fancy a pint after your ramble? The local pub is just 0.1 miles away. The river's less than a mile away for peaceful strolls. No need to drive everywhere - proper countryside living with amenities within reach.

Inside you'll find a spacious lounge with sofas arranged around an electric woodburner and Smart TV. The farm-style kitchen comes fully equipped with all modern appliances including dishwasher (because who wants to wash up on holiday?). Upstairs features a master bedroom with exposed beams and Smart TV, plus a second bedroom that's ideal after a day of adventures. The bathroom includes bath with shower over.

Edmunds cottage is spacious, comfortable accommodation ideally located at the entrance of Wensleydale in Crakehall and close to the market towns of Bedale, Masham, Leyburn and Richmond. Loved the welcome basket, very considerate! And definitely dog friendly! One thing to be aware of is that there is no parking directly outside for when loading or unloading, though plenty of parking around the Green. Had a great stay, thanks!
Great holiday cottage for our family of four. Providing basic provisions for our arrival was a nice touch we loved the hot tub. Property was clean and well stocked. Only downside was no washing machine.

The cottage had everything we needed, really well equipped. Shower was amazing. Really cosy property. We had a wonderfully relaxed break. The only thing I would recommend would be a coffee machine, but this did not affect our experience nor our score.

Quaint cottage in a lovely village, well equipped and we really enjoyed the hot tub. However, its definitely not 5 star as anticipated due to the specification of the kitchen and bathroom and quality of the soft furnishings, we enjoyed our stay in this beautiful part of the country.

We were very disappointed when we arrived as the kitchen and it's contents were quite grubby and needed a good clean. Pots, pans, cutlery not been washed, some needed replacing. So before we had tea we had to clean what we were using. Not what you want when on holiday. Cobwebs and stains in all rooms, needed some TLC to bring upto scratch. Expected better for what we paid. This is a lovely little cottage, clean comfortable and had everything we needed, bacon, butter, bread and biscuits left for us on arrival, hit tub was immense, nice friendly local pub and bedale had lots to offer, I would definitely recommend. Amended a trip to the butchers! Home from home!

The cottage was wonderful and we had such a lovely time. Other than a few maintenance jobs everything was perfect. The cottage was clean and in such a lovely area. The hot tub was a bonus. The only thing we would say was we struggled to keep the lid on the hot tub due to the wind and the clips being broken and the jets turned themselves on on several occasions but nothing that impacted on our weekend. This is a lovely cosy little cottage in the heart of a small dales village. We had an extremely comfortable stay, 3 adults and a dog. The hot tub in the garden was amazing. Equipped with everything you require. Lovely welcome hamper on arrival. I would highly recommend and we will definitely stay here again.
