About The Old Police Cottage

This chic, contemporary property is ideally suited to couples boasting an array of thoughtful features, including a private two-seater hot tub. The Roseberry Topping walk is easily accessible from the village where you’ll be rewarded by breathtaking views from the summit across North Yorkshire and Cleveland. The living room is full of character with its exposed brick feature wall, wood burner and deep wooden floors. Here, you’ll find a selection of sumptuous seating options where you can kick back and relax with your loved ones. Adjoining the living room is the dining area with bench-style seating and plenty of space to serve up a feast. Further down the hall is the kitchen which has been finished to a high standard with wooden countertops and a Belfast sink ensuring you have everything you need to be able to cook meals during your stay. The bedroom and bathroom can be found on the first floor with a delightful double bed, fitted wardrobes and a cool, cosy style of decor. In the courtyard, you’ll find the hot tub tucked away for total privacy whilst you sink into the blissful water. Situated in Great Ayton, you can live like a local during your stay: head out to the lovely local shops and eateries and pay a visit to the ice cream shop for a romantic afternoon activity at the start or end of an adventure. When you fancy a change of scenery from the sweeping countryside, make for the coast and spend a day at Saltburn Beach (12 miles) where you can relax on the sand or head off on an invigorating cliff-top walk.

There are plenty of lovely pubs and cafes nearby, plus some cute local shops. Great Ayton is a fantastic base, especially for visiting Saltburn - our favourite spot! Hosts were friendly and gave us a warm welcome with a nice hamper. Would definitely come back!

We really enjoyed our stay at the cottage. It's charming and had everything we needed. The hot tub was spotless and perfect for relaxing. The village is lovely with useful local shopsand some pubs welcome dogs, which is a bonus. Saltburn by the Sea isn't far and has a fantastic sandy beach for walks with the dog. Definitely recommend!

We had a lovely stay at this cottage, which is really well-kept and looks great inside. It's got all the essentials you needand the location in Great Ayton is perfect - easy to get to nice spots and perfect for walks in the countryside. While there are a few minor things that could be improved, overall we'd happily stay here again and recommend it to others.
