The Old Granary is a stunning three-floor detached home in Womersley, North Yorkshire. This spacious retreat offers room for 10 guests across 5 bedrooms and boasts an impressive 3/4 acre garden. Perfect for family gatherings or friend reunions where you need enough space so you don't kill each other after day three.

Set in North Yorkshire's southernmost village, you're perfectly placed to explore the region's natural beauty. Brockadale Nature Reserve is right on your doorstep for gorgeous walks. The local area offers plenty to keep everyone busy - from wildlife parks to shopping outlets. After a day out, the private hot tub awaits in what one guest called "a tropical garden" (even when it was -1° outside!).

Accommodation includes a super-king with en-suite and Juliet balcony, a king-size with en-suite, two double bedrooms and a family room with bunk beds. The open-plan living space features a fully-equipped kitchen with electric oven, microwave and dishwasher. Entertainment comes via three Smart TVs with Netflix (two with Alexa built-in) and WiFi throughout.

The Old Granary Reviews

This beautiful property would benefit from some TLC. Outside areas could do with some attention and cleaning. We contacted owner on our arrival and expressed concerns. Cleaners and gardener did come the next morning. Bedding in the 5 bedrooms was changed, toilet flush repaired and some vegetation cut back. Overall we were disappointed and feel let down by Sykes who did not respond to our concerns in WhatsApp.
The house was so lovely, it was the perfect place for 7 adults, 2 kids, a baby and a dog to come and celebrate New Year and spend quality time together. The gardens are fab too, we spent lots of time outside exploring and a couple of evenings in the hot tub in what feels like a tropical garden even when it was 1 outside! The host was so attentive and helpful too, thank you.

Family of 10 including 3 children just returned from a 7 night break at the Old Granary. Gorgeous house and garden with all the facilities you could possibly need. Owner was extremely welcoming, friendly and helpful and was in regular contact to ensure everything was ok. Beautiful courtyard area with hot tub which was put to good use by the whole family. Only criticism would be that one of the double bedrooms on top floor was extremely small. We had a great stay and would definitely recommend the Old Granary

A lovely holiday home that was sadly spoilt due to an infestation of fly's and bugs. 100's and 100's of them on all upper floors where two bedrooms are, full evidence was supplied and the property owners son visited the home to confirm how bad it was. I have contacted both Sykes and the property owner for a partial refund and was informed that no compensation would be paid, despite me paying 4k for a 3 night stay. Later this week I will be placing a chargeback via my bank for the full 4k and I would recommend anyone else in the same situation does this too, all I have asked for is a 500 partial refund which I felt was very reasonable under the circumstances. Once the charge back is made and I have received the full 4k refund Sykes or the property owner Not sure who loses out can take me to court if they wish to fight this further, silly that they have forced me to do this as this could have been resolved with a 500 partial refund.
We had a great weekend at The Old Granary. Its a stunning propertyinside and out. The owners were lovely and couldnt be more helpful. Would definitely recommend!

A beautiful, well equipped and well maintained house. The garden and outside areas are fantastic for the five young children we took with us. The hot tub was very well used by adults and children with parents. Communication was fast and easy with the owner and maintenance staff. Small problem of the hot tub not heating first night was dealt with very fast and all sorted before the next afternoon.
