Savour the grandeur of this splendid cottage in the North Yorkshire market town of Middleham. Sleeping eight guests, the four-bedroom haven offers opulent accommodation with indulgent features such as a hot tub, an outdoor entertaining area and free-standing baths. Ideal for a larger party of family or friends, especially those wishing to bring dogs, the property is perfect for those wishing to attend the famous Middleham races or venture into the beautiful Yorkshire Dales. Step inside this 18th-century stone retreat and prepare to be wowed by its character features and luxurious interiors. Make yourselves at home in the spectacular lounge/diner, where you can sink back into the plush seating as the wood burner throws out a cosy glow or dine at the elegant table by candle-light. Follow the steps down into the kitchen/diner to rustle up celebratory meals for your party or to pull a bottle of fizz from the fridge to share before dinner. Make fresh coffee in here and pause at the table as you take in the scenic views or watch the Smart TV. There is also a WC downstairs. Head up to the first floor to discover the family bathroom and a gorgeous king-size bedroom, with a vaulted ceiling, en-suite shower room and striking, free-standing bath. There are also two double bedrooms and a super-king-size room with an en-suite bathroom. All the bedrooms have exposed beams and Smart TVs. Outside, spill out into the garden to bask in the sunshine or chat under the stars. Light the BBQ, bubble in the hot tub and relax in the summer house. Enjoy a walk through the labyrinths and gardens at the Forbidden Corner, 2.5 miles away. Organise a group trip to Aysgarth Falls, 9 miles away, which was famously used as a backdrop in the film Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves.

The garden was a real highlightand the place was spotless, especially considering dogs are allowed - you wouldn't even know they'd been! Northgate House really did feel like a cosy home away from home. The character of the place is charmingand it's perfect for a get-together with friends or family. We loved the converted garage - it's such a handy space, especially with dogs, as they can come in through the doors to be wiped and fed. The pool table that turns into an air hockey game kept the kids entertained for ages. Plus, being so close to local pubs and shops made everything super convenient. A lovely countryside escape, we'd definitely recommend it!

We really had a lovely time here! The cottage itself was stunning, definitely one of the nicest places we've stayed. The little extras like candles, fragrant diffusersand cozy throws made it extra special. We especially enjoyed the fire, the hot tuband the games room - such a bonus! The bath in our room was absolutely fantastic. Hearing the stream at the end of the garden was so relaxingand the Bluetooth speakers in every room and by the hot tub were a nice touch. Everything we needed was there, even a wine fridge. Perfect location too!
