Staithes is one of Yorkshire's most atmospheric coastal villages. Narrow cobbled streets lead down to a working harbour where cobles still land crab and lobster. There's a sheltered sandy beach, the Cleveland Way on the doorstep and connections to Captain Cook who worked here as a young man.
Sleeps 12 across six double bedrooms. Three first-floor doubles each have en-suite shower rooms and TVs. Two second-floor doubles have TVs (one includes table football). A further double has a TV. There's also a bathroom with a freestanding slipper bath and separate shower.
Whitby is 10 miles away (20 mins) with its 199 Abbey steps and award-winning fish and chips. Saltburn-by-the-Sea (8 miles/15 mins) has a Victorian cliff lift and pier. Guisborough Priory ruins are around 12 miles (20 mins). The Staithes Gallery is a short walk from the front door.
