Itâ€™s in a prime spot surrounded by cobbled streets and with excellent pubs, eateries and cafes all within 0.5 miles. This area is heaven for cyclists and hikers, with the Yorkshire Dales National Park starting just 1.5 miles away. Featuring two king-size bedrooms, this terraced property is just right for a small family or two couples holidaying together. Beautifully updated, this homely cottage features lovely stone floors, modern sash windows and latch doors that respect its original charm. In the cosy lounge, a wood burner-effect fire keeps you warm as you sink into one of the brightly coloured sofas, perhaps popping on the Smart TV for some zone-out time. A recent extension at the back of the house creates a light-filled kitchen/diner for enjoying holiday meals together. Youâ€™ll have two outdoor spaces â€“ a lawned front area and a rear garden with furniture, a gravelled patio, a fire pit and a luxurious hot tub. Youâ€™ll never want to leave! Within Richmond, youâ€™ll have a Norman castle you can visit along with a weekly market on Saturdays â€“ great for picking up delicious local produce including fish from Whitby. Take the dogs for walks along the River Swale and enjoy the serenity of Richmondâ€™s iconic waterfall (0.5 miles). The ruins of Easby Abbey are also 1.5 miles away. At the National Trustâ€™s Hudswell Woods (1.5 miles), youâ€™ll find a lovely mix of forest, fields and river walks. Or head further into the national park to popular sites like Bolton Castle (13 miles) and Nidderdale National Landscape (16 miles).

We really enjoyed our stay. The cottage was super cosy and well stocked with everything we needed. The owners were lovely and made us feel welcome with a nice cake and wine - such a kind touch! It's a bit on a busy roadand parking's in a nearby street, so not ideal if you want peace and quiet. Also, those steep steps might be tricky for anyone less steady on their feet. Still, a charming place overall!

Honestly, this was one of the best dog-friendly cottages we've stayed in! The decor is lovely and it's really thought out, making it perfect for families. The layout suits us alland the well-equipped kitchen was a real plus. We lucked out with bad weather, so the board games kept us entertained for hours. The hot tub was a real treat after a long dayand the welcome treats were a nice touch. The dog bed and bowls were super handy. We'd definitely come back and recommend it!
