Discover the twin towns of Lynton and Lynmouth in the Exmoor National Park from this welcoming first- and second-floor apartment, ideal for friends and families. Set in the heart of foodie Lynton, the hideaway has views over Countisbury Hill, and is just steps away from several stunning walks, such as Hollerday Hill with its spectacular rock formations and coastal vistas. From the property you are just minutes from the famous Valley of the Rocks, with its wild goats and rugged scenery. In the village browse the shops, see a movie at one of the UK’s smallest cinemas (seating just 68 people), and hop on the Victorian funicular cliff railway that takes you to Lynmouth and its picturesque harbour. Fresh-air activities, including cycling, horse riding, kayaking and golf, are all available nearby, and the family attractions of Watermouth Castle, Exmoor Zoo and Combe Martin Wildlife & Dinosaur Park are within 17 miles. The vast sandy beaches of Woolacombe, Saunton Sands and Westward Ho! are all within the same range and a bus stop opposite the house is connected to them all!
Take the steps up to the first floor and enter the large, light and bright apartment. You’ll immediately be drawn to the enticing views from the bay window in the lounge – snuggle up in the armchair with a book and watch the weather rolling in and out across the hills. Retaining many original Victorian features - this welcoming room has a choice of comfortable seating around a wood burner – perfect for a lazy winter’s evening as you enjoy a favourite movie on the Smart TV. When you start to feel hungry, stroll through to the spacious kitchen/diner, where plenty of storage space is complemented by modern appliances, including an induction hob with double oven, built-in microwave, coffee machine, air fryer, dishwasher and 4 slice toaster. Take two steps down to find a family bathroom. Completing this floor is a snug, where there’s a sofa bed, games and a TV: a great option for younger members of the group. On the upper floor are three comfortable and spacious bedrooms, with yet more pretty views, and another large shower room with WC as well as the washer and tumble dryer.
In warm weather step out of the main front door to enjoy a morning coffee or a favourite tipple in the small, private graveled area, where there’s a bench for you to enjoy the fresh air. Parking (seasonally restricted) is in front of the house, or opposite in Park St (unrestricted) or in the public car park a few minutes away.
