We (2 adults, 2 small children) absolutely loved our stay. The lodge itself is really well designed, well equipped and very comfortable. The hot tub is great and the kids loved it. As it’s a designated ‘dark’ area if you get a cloudless night then the stars are amazing. 5 star review, hope to come back again next year!

We liked the location of the lodge, but were let down by the weather gods for night sky viewing as cloudy most nights. Did get to see a short burst of starlight and space station whizzing by. Any issues dealt with promptly.Great watching the red kites and rooks/jackdaws. Some hares seen at first light. Lodge was comfortable but needed the Portable fan in the twin room as very warm in there.Could do with 4 decent plastic flutes for hot tub use. Chairs outside need replacing next season.Maybe a disposable 1 hire use kitchen sponge/ scourer as would encourage hirers to put a bit if elbow grease into the oveware cleaning. Things people forget to bring. All in all we would revisit again in the future.

I visited here with 3 friends for a long weekend and it exceeded our expectations. This is a wonderful lodge, extremely clean, two bedrooms, bonus of two bathrooms, comfortable beds and fabulous hot tub and outdoor area. This is the cleanest self catering property I’ve ever stayed in. In that respect I think it’s only fair that visitors respect their surroundings and leave as they find! We sat outside and enjoyed watching the wildlife seeing birds of prey, robins and hares! Just perfect. We also visited Salisbury city for a day which was an easy car journey away. We had a lovely, peaceful and relaxing time which did us all good. I rate this lodge ten times better than any Forest Holiday lodge I’ve stayed in. It’s a good choice if you are looking for peace and tranquility. I would thoroughly recommend a stay here.
