The light-filled, L-shaped living area is open-plan, with the spacious, well-appointed kitchen/diner flowing around the corner to the lovely lounge. After dining at the round table, stroll over to the comfortable sofas, where you can snuggle up and stream your favourite shows on the Smart TV. When youâ€™re ready for bed, all three bedrooms are upstairs on the first floor, including two king-size rooms and a welcoming bunk bedroom â€“ the master king-size bedroom boasts a scenic Juliet balcony. The impressive family bathroom is another stunning room and boasts a separate bath and shower. Next door to the house is a games barn thatâ€™s kitted out with a TV, darts and a pool table, while the patio offers a charcoal BBQ and dining furniture for al fresco evenings. Up five steps youâ€™ll find the secluded hot tub, another spot where you can relax and take in the incredible countryside vistas. Located in the pretty village of Great Busby, the cottage is just 1.5 miles from Carlton-in-Cleveland, where there is a welcoming country pub. The elegant market town of Stokesley is 2.5 miles away, great for a day out visiting appealing shops and places to eat. Explore Saltburn-by-the-Sea, 15.5 miles, with its cliff lift, pier and surf school, or try the delights of Whitby or Staithes, both within 33 miles.

We had such a lovely stay at the hay barn! The place is beautifully decorated, super warm and spotlessly clean. It's in a gorgeous spot, great for exploring the area. The kids loved the games room and hot tub, while our dog was happy with the bowls left out. The welcome treats-crisps and Prosecco-were a nice touch. Beds and pillows were really comfyand plenty of clean towels for both the hot tub and indoor use. The kitchen was well stocked too. We're already planning to come back!

We had a lovely stay with our three dogsand it's definitely a dog-friendly spot. The provided throws were a nice touchand the sofa was super comfy and cosy. The bath was ready right from day one, which was great. WiFi worked perfectlyand the closed patio made a safe space for the pups. There are plenty of quiet lanes and fields for walking, plus nice pubs like the Black Swan and Jet Miner's where dogs are welcome in the bar or garden. We'll be back!

We had a really lovely time overall. The peaceful spot was perfect for relaxingand the hot tub was a real highlight, especially in the evening. The beds were super comfy and the shower room was nice and clean. An extra toilet is always handy! A couple of things could have been better though; the WiFi was painfully slow, which was a bit frustrating when we wanted to catch up on Netflix. Also, the barbecue was left in quite a state - dirty and full of used charcoal. Still, a nice little getaway!

Overall, our stay was decent but there were a few frustrations. We struggled with the Wi-Fi, messaging the host multiple times without any response, which was annoying. We also forgot bin bagsand since there aren't any shops nearby, we asked the host, only to be told we should have brought our own. One of the double bedrooms was infested with spidersand despite trying to contact the host, she didn't answer, so we couldn't sleep there all weekend. We also didn't receive the welcome hamper we were promised, which was a bit of a let-down.

We had such a lovely weekend at this place! The location is perfect, with lakes, hillsand the coast all within half an hour's drive. Our hosts were super friendly and helpful - they even helped push our car out of the mud when we took a wrong turn. It's great for dogs too, with a secure area and fake grass so they don't bring in mud. We'd definitely love to come back and explore more of the stunning countryside around the house someday!

We had a lovely time at The Old Hay Barn! The place was spotless and really roomy. Beds were super comfyand the owners were so helpful, replying quickly whenever we had questions. Would definitely stay again, highly recommend!

The cottage was really charming and in a great spot, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. My daughter loved seeing the horses, which was a real highlight. Only thing we'd suggest is clearer info on house rules for dogs, like not leaving them alone. Still, we had an awesome time overall!
