Maheshwar Reviews

Emma Carter
We had such a lovely break at the cottage! It's a real peaceful retreat away from the hustle, beautifully decorated and super clean. Jane was really welcoming but also respectful of our privacy, which we appreciated. The hot tub was fantastic, especially sitting out under the stars at night. Perfect for dog walks too-Hutton Le Hole's Crown pub nearby is very dog-friendly and serves delicious food. We'll definitely be coming back!
Harriet
Honestly, the place is pretty remote, which made for a super peaceful break. The dinner delivery from the owner was a real highlight-really tasty and filling after a busy day out. The owners were so friendly and made us feel really welcome. Even the dogs had a great time! We'd definitely come back if we get the chance!

The cottage's setting is peaceful, nestled in beautiful countryside but close enough to neighbours. The hosts were really friendly and left us a lovely welcome pack. It's quite roomy and well-stocked, with super comfy beds. We had a great time!
Sarah
We had a lovely holiday and were welcomed by the friendly owner with her scrumptious brownies. The cottage was super comfortable, especially the wonderful beds. We truly enjoyed having access to the tennis courts and games room!
Oliver
A lovely property with everything you need for a relaxing stay! Jane made us feel super welcome on arrival and was always around to help with anything we needed. Really appreciated her attentiveness and friendliness, it made all the difference. Overall, a great experience!
Lucy
We really recommend this property! The walk to the pubs at Kirkbymoorside or Gillamoor is great. A longer stroll to Hutton le Hole and then Lastingham was stunning via Gillamoor. There are also plenty of breathtaking walks within a 30-minute drive of the farm. We had so many special wildlife experiences during our week, like seeing ring ouzels, red kites, oyster catchers, curlews, lapwings, roe deerand hares! We got a warm welcome from Lucy and her legendary brownies! Organic milk left for us was a lovely treat.
James
What a lovely and comfortable cottage in the beautiful rural Yorkshire! We were treated to a delicious supper cooked by the owner on our first night, which made the stay even better.
Laura
What a lovely quiet location! The cottage was super comfortableand we really appreciated the welcome pack. It was just perfect for a holiday with our doggy member of the family.
Mark
This is a fantastic cottage in a beautiful area! It's really comfortable and has all the modern conveniences we needed. Plus, it's great that each of the three bedrooms has an en suite bathroom which makes everything so much easier!
Emma
A perfect cottage in a stunning location! It's a really high quality home with everything you could needand it's immaculately presented. Very central for days out, but with a tennis court and games room, there's also loads to do if you fancy a quiet day at the cottage. Jane is such a lovely host and she makes the most amazing chocolate brownies! We had a fabulous week and will definitely return as soon as we can. Thanks again, Emma and family.
Sophie
This delightful cottage is tucked away in a quiet spot, just what we needed to get away from all the fireworks with our dogs. It was spotlessly clean and had everything we could possibly need. Honestly, we couldn't fault it at all. We really enjoyed exploring around Yorkshire!
Martin
What a fantastic house in a lovely countryside setting! There's loads to do on-site - snooker, table tennis, tennisand great walks, plus cycling opportunities. Scarborough, Whitbyand York are all within an hour's drive, which is super convenient! The emails before arrival and the welcome pack were really helpfuland we had excellent communication while we were there. We would definitely recommend this place and would love to come back!
Clara
We found it very comfortable and every need catered for; much thought has gone into what makes a difference to a stay in a self-catering cottage. The dogs were made to feel very welcome without compromising our human need for cleanliness and modernity. The cottage feels isolated just by its lovely farm location, but it's really convenient for travelling to the surrounding North Yorks market towns and places of interest. The tennis court was a bonus. Thank you!
