Lovesome Cottage Reviews

Magdalena
Lovely place and surroundings. However we felt the mattress could be replaced and the pillows.
Christine
We loved our stay. The cottage was perfect for our needs beautifully equipped and appointed. We felt very welcome and very much at home. The bed was extremely comfortable and the hot tub was a real plus, especially as Nick had hurt his knee a few days before. The peace, the silence, and the views of the hills were very restorative.
Anne-marie
Mary and John was such lovely people, their hospitality was amazing. Lovesome cottage was so nice we loved our stay. We are going to book up for next year. In the field was next to the cottage was full of cows and calfs
Graham
This little cottage is absolutely fantastic, everything you need is available, lovely comfortable bed and an unspoiled quirky lovely place. The Jacuzzi is absolutely perfect with views and very peaceful. Will definitely be returning to this cottage again.
We had a great week. We both slept really well n the views from the garden were amazing. Highly recommend this beautiful place & the owners were lovely
Lovely private outside space. Perfect for a weekend break
Amanda
Amazing little cottage can't wait to go to back again
Very nice place for a short break. I had an issue with the heating, not warm enough for me personally though my partner likes it cooler. For a winter break the electric heaters are not sufficient enough to keep the cottage warm. Would return but in the summer. We had a lovely time and the garden was nicely fenced off so we could let our dog run around while we used the hot tub.
Lovesome cottage is a wonderful place for a break ,very quiet and the log fire ... Lovesome cottage is a wonderful place for a break ,very quiet and the log fire and hot tub are a fantastic way to relax,we even got some homemade mince pies on our visit over Christmas, definitely a place to return

Mary was very helpful and answered all our questions. She ensured the hot tub was kept clean on a daily basis but did not intrude on our privacy. All the utensils, glassware & crockery were more than sufficient. There were plenty of towels, the fridge had enough space for 5 days food and enough space for a bag of ice. The whole 5 days was extremely relaxing and we were comfortable in surroundings that were in keeping with the cottage feel. Stunning location & peaceful, we will be back! Already planning our next visit!
We stayed at Lovesome cottage September 24. The cottage small but quaint. It had everything that we needed. The private hot tub was a lovely bonus. If you just want to take a few days away to recharge your batteries, this is the place for you. The only noise is the birds and the cows in the field. Owner was very welcoming and on hand if needed. Highly recommend.
Really enjoyed the stay lovely place and lovely people. One minor issue is the bed was not very comfortable and creaked a lot when moving around.
Donald
Had misgivings about the open plan nature of the cottage, but the layout with the bed in it's own alcove was fine, proper oldschool bed with a metal frame was very comfortable for us. We were lucky with our weather and the patio doors were open all the time while we were in so the insect curtain was a boon. Some areas could do with a little improvement, some of the crockery and cutlery is nearing the end of it's days, but it is perfectly adequate. Lovely private hot tub was well used every day, and is wellkept and treated daily too. Helpful and attentive hosts, good location with easy access to all the surrounding attractions, all nice and clean, and comfortable. Would have no hesitation in returning
Beautiful location, spotlessly clean and a very warm welcome from the host. Wonderful break.
Elizabeth
Lovely relaxing week here. Its the second time we've been and it's an ideal getaway holiday. You're left in peace but the owners are there if you need anything.
Katrina
This is our second visit to Lovesome Cottage, and we have enjoyed it for a second time. Lovely cottage very clean and inviting. The hot tub is fabulous. The owners are very friendly, we will definitely be back
Had a fantastic 3 night stay in lovesome cottage, very cosy and clean. Had everything we needed for a perfect stay! Thanks to Mary who was around if we needed her and kept checking if everything was ok. Would definitely recommend and would stay again if we are thinking of staying in this area.
Stephen
Had a really nice short stay here. Great views, nice hot tub with a lovely night sky view, not overlooked at all, perfect 2 person getaway. Definitely recommend this place
Very nice comfortable traditional style cottage on a working farm, very clean & comfortable with everything we needed for our stay. Also has a lovely secure garden which was ideal for our little miniature Schnauzer to wander around, she was fascinated by the cows & calves on the other side of the fence, great views down across the valley & a beautiful sunset in the mornings...5 Brilliant hot tub and a great log burner, which although not really needed we just had to lite it. The owners were superb, both friendly & helpful. All in all we had a great 3 night stay in a great place.
Russell
Lovely accommodation, hosts couldnt be more friendly and helpful. Great location, would recommend.
Fabulous property and the welcome from Mary was great. Everything was completely explained on arrival and she was available, if you needed anything during your stay
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at lovesome cottage it was so peaceful and calm, had everything we needed including decent weather. The views over the fields from the garden were beautiful Mary was lovely and checked the hot tub for us each day. Would definitely recommend this place and would like to go back sometime
Joanna
Lovely peaceful cottage. Enjoyed looking out over the fields, watching the hares and the birds. Great to have all the fresh air provided by the bifold door and be insect free thanks to the fly screen. A perfect base for exploring the area, lots of good places to eat in Northallerton and lovely places to visit nearby.
Stephen
The hosts Mary and John are a lovely friendly couple and met us immediately we arrived. The cottage has everything you would want and the hot tub was sensational, with a lovely view of the fields with the calves coming by the fence for a nosey while you soak. Could not recommend the cottage high enough and would definitely return in the future.
A lovely 3 night stay. We are really keen to return in the future and would highly recommend.
Lovely get away, very cosy cottage. If youre not driving theres a 15minutes bus into town just next to the cottage that comes every few hours. Welcoming a friendly hosts very clean
Spent the whole weekend relaxing in the hot tub with a bottle of fizz, perfect for relaxing weekend away, peace and quite and a decent view too, what more could you ask for.
We enjoyed our stay at Lovesome cottage. Was a perfect getaway for a few days. The hosts are lovely. The views from the cottage are amazing and the hot tub was ready on arrival. There is a log burner in the lounge area which heats the cottage lovely, sometimes I had to open the door and I am always cold! We would definitely consider returning and would recommend this lovely cottage!
Stuart

Had an absolutely wonderful weekend at lovesome cottage a perfect place to spend a few days. Mary the owner was a lovely lady who showed us around the cottage and said if we needed anything just to ask and she even gave us a bag full of apples upon leaving .The hot tub was amazing and with the wood burner in the cottage it kept it nice and cosy . We will definitely be returning in the future

Very nice stay, nice and relaxing with great hotub.
The Cottage was super clean and tidy on arrival. Owners met us immediately and were very helpful and professional. I loved the hot tub and cute garden which was fenced off perfectly for the dogs. Although the property was on the farm we were given complete privacy but also the owner was helpful and approachable if we needed to ask any questions. Lovely relaxing stay. Thank you
Spent a wonderful week here and can't fault it in any way, the owner was very friendly and couldn't help us enough, the hot tub was amazing especially the view from it. Will definitely be back
