Limetree Luxury Glamping Southdown Reviews

Beautiful and comfortable stay with fantastic hosts. The shepherd's huts are geared towards couples, but I came solo to decompress after a stressful work period and it was perfect. Everything worked, the hosts are friendly, helpful and available for anything you need. It was stressfree and easy to find. I loved the thought put into the decor and the attention to detail around guests' needs. I can't overstate how cosy, comfortable and beautiful the huts and surroundings are. It was lovely to walk around the grounds and to the farm shop for local produce to cook on the outdoor grill. Huge thanks Wendy and David.

Absolutely fantastic stay, could not fault it at all. Hot tub was perfect, everything was clean and in good condition. Sheep were lovely! Everything we needed was already thought of, any questions or issues were dealt with ASAP. 1010 will return!
We had an amazing weekend. The huts are furnished beautifully and the little touches from providing cooking oil and salt and pepper, to playing cards and dominos were so thoughtful. It might not seem like much but weve never stayed anywhere that provides you with cooking ingredients. This isnt a lodge and anyone looking for that type of experience should look elsewhere. But anyone who is looking for a luxury glamping experience should look no further than limetree. Hosts are friendly and accommodating and having the sheep right next door makes you feel like youre right in the heart of the countryside. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would absolutely stay again!
Lovely, peaceful place and very friendly place!
What a fabulous place. The attention to detail is spot on. So easy to check in. The place is spotless, bed is really comfortable slept so well. The decor is gorgeous, Molton Brown bath products, bathroom is spotless shower is lovely and hot. Really clean and worth every penny. The hot tub is lovely and the little rubber duck made me smile as a fun edition lol. Hosts Davis and Wendy are wonderful, checked to make sure we wanted for nothing and even treated us to a glass of champagne our last night. Theres a little farm shop 5 mins walk from the site that does a lovely fresh home produce breakfast. Super market and pubs 510 min drive if that. Definitely recommend this place and will be rebooking for next year. Oh and if you looking for a lovely day out whilst staying we recommended Clumber national park its beautiful then get back to the site get the log burner going and chill ! Wonderful, thanks Dave and Wendy see you again
Amazing everything was perfect a beautiful spot and location. Spent three nights here for my partners birthday and couldnt have asked for better. Every detail was thought through and made for a fantastic stay

Beautiful 2 night stay here in the Southdown pod, everything was thought about down to the tiny little details. We especially loved the outdoor log burner and stove and cooked all our meals on these. We will 100 recommend this to friends and family and will most certainly be returning. Thanks again for having us!
Amazing find, a beautiful gem. Wendy and Dave are the best hosts. The Shepards hut is very well laid out and fully equipped. Bed super comfy! Outside space and hot tub are beyond none. Highly recommended, you won't be disappointed with your stay. Rain or shine!

The attention to detail was evident in every corner, from the tasteful dcor to the topnotch amenities that made our stay feel truly luxurious. The private hot tub was an absolute highlight, allowing us to unwind under the stars in complete privacy. The surrounding environment added to the magic. We were completely enveloped by the serene countryside, where the only sounds were the gentle rustling of leaves and the melodic calls of local wildlife. It was impossible not to feel a sense of peace and relaxation, especially when enjoying a morning coffee on the deck. The location is fantastic, offering the best of both worldssecluded and peaceful yet within easy reach of charming villages and beautiful walking trails. We were amazed! I wanted to surprise my wife for our 10 year wedding anniversary and yes we both were surprised. The setting was beautiful! The accommodation was fantastic! The owners were very friendly, helpful and accommodating. It has lots of supermarkets, a petrol station and pubrestaurant around the area. It is about an hour away from a beach. Where we had a fantastic day out. If we didn't go out we could have a relaxing time in the hottub, play some games that were provided. Then in the evening light the fire, have a BBQ and relax. We have already recommended to our friends and family and will definitely be booking again. Overall a relaxing, fun and romantic holiday! Thanks for having us. Bonus there was a massive swing for an adult to swing on haha!
I had the best stay in southdown, amazing facilities and hospitality. Owners were very friendly, welcoming people and were always there if you needed anything. Beautiful location and views, perfect place to have a relaxing weekend away. Inside the shepherd hut had lovely decor, very clean, spacious, has the comfiest bed and we had the best sleep. Hot tub was great and the outdoor stove and heater made it lovely to sit outside. Would highly recommend and will be definitely visiting again soon
