Just got back from the most fabulous stay at Lapwing Cottage. Diane is the most welcoming host on this beautiful site. The lodge itself is immaculate, everything you could need for a short break and so clean. The grounds the lodge is in are lovely with alpacas and goats just opposite. The hot tub is perfect to relax in and the fire pit bbq is ideal for cooking on. A visit to the Farm Yard brewery just down the road is an absolute must. Thank you Diane for our wonderful stay, we already cant wait to book again!

We had an amazing stay at mill house farm pods 31st March4th April. When we arrived we met the lovely alpacas and goats which are close to the pods, then we met the lovely Diane who helped us settle in and the cakes she made us were amazing We were so lucky to have the best weather for the week, the facilities and hot tub were top notch and the location is stunning with lovely scenery all around. We will definitely look to go back in the future

Second time staying here, great little getaway for some peace and quiet from everyday life, Diane is very welcoming and friendly, If you need anything they are literally a call away. We visited Farm Yard Brewery this time and it's a brilliant tap room, food also available which was very good. Best burger I've ever had!

Had the perfect stay. Staff where friendly the pod and hot tub were brilliant! Will definitely be back.

The service we got was amazing, the pod was extraordinary, especially the relaxing fire and hot tub , Diane couldnt have been more welcoming if she tried! Even preparing the night under the stars last minute! the animals were the icing on the cake! Me and my boyfriend loved every minute of it and was so peaceful just the two of us to get away, thank you so much Diane and her team! We will definitely be returning! X

Could not fault our accommodation, it had everything you needed and more complimentary cakes were a lovely surprise and delicious. Perfect peaceful location but close to attractions. We had an excellent stay at Lapwing lodge, the owners had thought of everything. The location was excellent with a great local brewery a 10 min walk away and the hot tub fire pit facilities were amazing! We would definitely recommend and would 100 return. Thanks!

We had the most wonderful 4 days here. It was so relaxing! The facilities were faultless and the hot tub was incredible. Everything about this stay was perfect, Diane is so welcoming and friendly we felt comfortable straight away. Getting to see alpacas and goats every day was a great feature too! I couldnt recommend these lodges enough and well definitely be back!

Diane is a excellent host, lapwing lodge is clean and comfortable the hot tub is a masssive bonus after a log day exploring, great location for the lakes and west yorkshire. Had the best time ever celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary.

Great location for a short getaway no complaints whatsoever the cabin is a good size with any equipment you might need already waiting for you the area of the site is well maintained and tidy along with the hot tub which receives a check and chemical rebalance everyday if necessary. Diane was welcoming and made it very clear to us that if we needed anything then just ask and it can be sorted. Would definitely recommend.

Honestly cant recommend this place enough, weve been on a few hot tub lodge stays and this is the best weve been to. The friendly welcome, nothing they havent thought of in the pods, waking up to complete silence other than birds chirping and cows mooing, the brewery five mins away, great location for exploring the coast or the lakes, just the most perfect few days, going home so relaxed. This Yorkshire couple is sold on Lancashire! Cant wait to book again!

We loved our stay in Lapwing Lodge. Diane met us on arrival and couldnt have been more welcoming or helpful. Loved that we had our own private garden space. We had almost everything we needed. The only thing we felt was lacking was that there weren't really any clear spaces to put your own food. A shelf or 2 would do it. Also outside could benefit from a couple more hooks and even a clothes rack to dry swim costumes or towels. We'd definitely recommend Mill House Farm Pods to friends and family. Excellent holiday from start to finish, from the cabin its self to the host being as friendly and helpful as possible, the cabin and facilities were clean and in good working order cant fault it, the host Diane was amazing from all the ideas on what to do when we were staying and the cupcakes and pint of milk,tea, coffee left for us upon arrival. Definitely look forward to returning

Absolutely wonderful stay here, visited for a long weekend break and it was exactly what we needed. The facilities were excellent, everything had been thought about! The area is so quiet and peaceful, there are 4 cabins on the sight which makes for a lovely atmosphere. None overlook eachother especially when using the hot tubs! The cleanliness of the property was exceptional and the hosts were extremely friendly and helpful! We will definitely be back to stay here again.

Fantastic stay

Had an amazing few days here, were well looked after from the start by Diane, who runs this little gem on their family farm. We were blessed with the weather, but for me it was pucture perfect.. the sort of perfection you'd expect in a film, peaceful, exceptionally beautiful settling. The pod itself isn't far from the beach and it's well worth going there to watch the sun set.. it's a vast space and no one seems to know about it. The site itself is well located as its only a 20 minute drive through some lovely countryside to several Lancashire tourist places. Including an amazing desert place that do huge cakes and make their own ice cream on site.. seriously gorgeous. Came home feeling exceptionally rested, didn't really want to leave. Could have watched the goats from our very own hot tub for another week. Its exceptionally clean and hats off to Diane.. amazing set up, did her very best to make sure we had everything we needed, but not at all imposing and let us enjoy our break. Thank you.

We had a lovely weekend at Lapwing Lodge. .everything was perfectly thought out spotlessly clean Diane was a perfect host, met us with the keys, explained how the hot tub worked. There was enough wood, lighters & kindling to get the fire going & a brucey bonus 4 amazing cupcakes! We will definitely be back..we came home feeling so relaxed like we have been away much longer than a weekend! Thanks so much Diane & family

Everything was lovely, the only thing Id say is perhaps to mention that the lodge is situated alongside the others? It wasnt a problem for us and obviously the design of the lodges is such that you have plenty of privacy anyway. But some guests may take issue on arrival if they are expecting to be more totally isolated. Thank you x
