In a gloriously remote spot on the owner's farm, and within 18 acres of splendid countryside, this luxury barn conversion makes a wonderful base for a Yorkshire holiday. You’ll be spoilt for choice when it comes to opportunities to explore nature, with the Yorkshire Dales National Park and the Forest of Bowland both around 2.5 miles away. With space for ten over its five bedrooms, take all your friends along – or book a scenic annual holiday with extended family. You’ll access this former hay barn via a secluded lane. Once inside, you’ll be captivated by the property’s stylish elegance and rustic charm. Low ceilings, exposed stone and original beams create a traditional look and feel, while unparalleled views of Ingleborough are visible from many of the windows. Furniture, fittings and decor are all of an exceptional standard. The open-plan living area is wonderful for spending quality time with fellow guests, whether you’re cosying up by the wood burner or dining at the large wooden table. Keen chefs will love whipping up treats in the elegant country-style kitchen, which features a double range-style cooker. Others can perch with a glass of pre-dinner wine at the central island. You’ll have a snooker room for entertainment, while the impressive garden features a patio, a BBQ, seating and a hot tub for guaranteed fresh-air fun. Within the 18-acre site, take river walks and relax into leisurely picnics and fishing sessions — there’s so much to do without even leaving the grounds. When it’s time to venture outside, follow the footpath directly to Ingleborough, one of the Yorkshire Three Peaks, with spectacular views along the way. The sweet village of Ingleton (2.5 miles) contains shops, and cafes set against a backdrop of stunning limestone landscapes, caves and waterfalls.

We recently stayed at Hay Barn in Ingleton and honestly, it was fantastic. The cottage is a real gem-beautifully restored by Hayley and Jeremy, it looks stunning both outside and inside. The peaceful location away from busy roads, right by the river, adds to the charm. Inside, everything was thoughtfully chosen, from the comfy furniture to the quality linens. Plus, Hayley and Jeremy are genuinely lovely folks. Definitely a place we'd return to without hesitation!

Wow, what a stunning place! The cottage was huge, with breathtaking views over rolling hills. We honestly didn't want to leave! The back garden was massiveand we spent ages relaxing in the hot tub. The kitchen was well-stocked with plenty of plates and cutlery, plus two big fridges. Loved the island and the sweet touch of cake and wine left for us. The owners were lovely, especially Jeremy-such a kind man-and their dog was adorable. We're already planning our next trip, can't wait to come back!

We really enjoyed our stay! The house is stunning and well-equipped, making it so easy to settle in. The location is perfect, with lovely walks nearby and some cracking pubs for food. Private outdoor spaces at the front and back mean you can soak up the sun all day. Definitely would come back!

We had a fantastic stay! The hot tub was just perfect-so warm and relaxing after a day out. The outdoor space with cushions, BBQand picnic area was spot on for lazy afternoons. We loved sitting on the lawn, listening to the river-it's such a peaceful spot. The billiard room was a big hit with us too. Inside, the barn is beautifully furnished, clearly with great taste. The modern kitchen was really well equipped, making cooking easy. Overall, a brilliant place-nothing to fault at all!

It felt spacious but cosy at the same time, with all the facilities we could want. Hayley and Jem are fantastic hosts - friendly but not intrusive. Hay Barn truly lives up to its 5-star reputation. The quality is outstanding, with every detail carefully considered. We stayed as a mixed group celebrating a 70th birthdayand it was perfect for everyone, especially since one guest had mobility needs. The ground floor's open plan made wheelchair access effortless, even without support rails in the en-suite. The place is just fantastic, really! We couldn't have asked for more. Definitely one of the best places we've stayed.

Honestly, we couldn't find a single fault with the Hay Barn. From the moment we arrived, the fire was cracklingand the hot tub was waiting. The welcome pack was a lovely touch, especially that delicious cake and the bottles of red - top notch! Monty was adorable and greeted us like old friends. The place is stunning, with incredible attention to detail and a fantastic location. We genuinely hope to return soon - it really exceeded all our expectations. Truly exceptional!
