The town of Kirkby Lonsdale is only three miles down the road, guaranteed to keep you busy with local shops and sights to uncover. Have a quiet walk down to the river past the beautiful church of St Mary’s, pausing to take in ‘Ruskin’s View’ and then potter back along the river to Devils Bridge. Ingleton is seven miles away, being the gateway to the Dales and then Hawes and Settle. In the opposite direction is Kendal, the Gateway to the Lakes and Windermere. All in all, a great Barn to stay on a genuine working farm amongst some of the most beautiful and peaceful countryside in the North West.
