Excellent cottage a real home from home, the hot tub was just what you needed after a few long walks. .. Perfect location with loads to do and see. The owners Katherine and Michael were so welcoming with the added bonus of meeting the first born triplet lambs of the year... Soooo cute. We will definitely be back ...

Damson Barn is Beautiful in an idyllic setting . A perfect place to relax and enjoy the surroundings Great walks from the door and lots of places to visit by car Katherine and Michael are great hosts and are on hand for any needs . We had the privilege of seeing a lamb being born on their farm . We would highly recommend a stay here and we will return in the future .

Wonderful barn everything you could wish for in lovely countryside. All first class facilities beautifully appointed. Our hosts were very friendly and helpful and we enjoyed seeing the sheep pony and dogs. Couldn't have been better.

We had the best time at Damson Barn. The spacious accommodation is comfortable and very clean. The friendly owners obviously take great pride in the property and really care about giving a fabulous experience. We hope to return to this cottage in the future and cannot recommend it highly enough.

Beautiful property, brilliant large bedrooms and gorgeous large landing. ..fully equipped kitchen and cosy lounge. A real home for home feel. We were given a warm welcome by the owners who couldn't have been more helpful with local advice on hand to make our stay comfortable. Just a shame we had a flying visit due to wedding and lived a 5hr drive away..would recommend this beautifully located property and easily return back if ever up in the north!!

Beautifully presented and clean. In a beautiful remote spot. We couldnt have picked a better time of the year with lambing happening during our visit. Our 3 year old loved it. The garden was fully secured so we could let our son out to play with no worries of him escaping. When the sun came out we could open up the French doors and let the air in. The fact the French doors were in the lounge and the kitchen was a bonus. We enjoyed the 35 minute walk down in to Kirkby Lonsdale. The walk up the hill back wasnt as enjoyable but absolutely worth it. We would highly recommend Damson Barn and will hopefully visit again one day.

Everything was perfect from the lovely friendly hosts to the most relaxing peaceful setting all topped off by an immaculate and cosy barn. Were already looking for our next dates to return.

We had a wonderful holiday at Damson Barn. It was everything we could have wished. It was very clean and comfortable and had all the necessities to ensure that our stay was enjoyable. The owners of the farm were very friendly and accommodating. They were only a stone throw away if we needed them. The location of the Barn was fantastic. The lakes were only a short drive away and we were nestled at the gateway to the Yorkshire Dale's too. This has to be the best accommodation that we have stayed at with Sykes. It was the perfect break for us and we will definitely be returning.

The cottage was perfect. Thoughtfully converted barn with layout and size. Well stocked with everything you need and some lovely touchesRoses in the window! As clean as a house could be! Great family we loved meeting.

We've just returned from a wonderful week at Damson Barn with our two boys 11 and 13yo. The cottage itself was beautiful, well kept, cosy and comfortable and had all the amenities we needed. The hot tub was a huge bonus at the end of a day exploring. It couldn't be located any better, between the Dales and Lake District we were spoilt for choice for where to visit. Mike and Katherine were excellent hosts friendly, approachable and very knowledgeable about the local area. They even gave us a tour of their working farm, which was great fun. Everyone in our family agreed it was one of our best holidays and can't wait to return again one day. Thank you!

Such a lovely property, extremely clean and comfortable. A very gratefully received welcome pack on arrival. Our hosts were brilliant, made to feel we were friends rather than clients. Can 100 recommend if you are looking for a quiet getaway. Nearest pub is about 20 min walk, not bad in summer with long evenings, not sure we'd do it in the short days! Plenty to do in the area so great location. We hope to come back before too long.

Just returned after an amazing week at damson barn. Cottage is perfect in every sense. Katherine and Michael are amazing hosts and the most friendly welcoming couple you could wish for. They involved our little one in them shearing the sheep and made her holiday very special indeed! We will be retuning again most definitely

It has been an absolute pleasure to stay at Damson Barn. We have had the best holiday Katherine and Michael are excellent hosts and they really go the extra mile to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. The Barn is a great place to stay for both the Lakes and the Dales and the scenery is stunning. Cant praise this property, hosts and location highly enough

We had a fantastic stay at Damson barn. It was our first trip away with our new baby who is 5 months old and it was the perfect place to go. Michael and Katherine are very welcoming and friendly and kindly showed us around the farm and the various animals they keep. The cottage is well equipped and was very clean when we arrived. Kirkby Lonsdale is a short drive away or a nice 45 mins walk. There are plenty of places to eat and drink there, and artisan shops. We also went to Ambleside one day which is about a 35 mins drive. There is a decent pub called the Highwayman about 10 mins drive away that does really good food. We also got a pizza takeaway from the Royal Hotel which was good. Would thoroughly recommend staying and I am sure we will be back..

Damson barn exceeded all our expectations. The cottage was spotlessly clean, modern, comfortable and well equipped. The hosts were perfect. Friendly, welcoming and charming. They were on hand to help with anything we needed, yet gave us privacy and space to enjoy your holiday and fully relax. A beautiful, scenic area, with so much to do for familes. Very comfortable and spacious. Beautiful rural position, yet within easy but narrow access to main road. A Delightful cottage highly recommend for getting away from it all.

We had a fantastic time and Damson Barn was beautiful which was further supported by our great hosts Michael and Katherine. Probably one of the best houses and locations weve stayed in with great access to local walks.

It is certainly a place that we will return too, and highly recommend, it has everything you need,its been great for getting around to lots of different attractions and returning here to relax and enjoy has been the icing on the cake

Stayed twice before. Property is excellent being clean and well equipped. It is sited in a beautiful and peaceful area. I could not praise the hosts enough. They were extremely friendly and helpful and did all they could to make our stay enjoyable.

We have just returned from Damson Barn and we miss it already. It really is a beautiful barn that lived beyond our expectation! The hot tub was a hit for our children! We felt settled within minutes. It is a cozy, clean, modern barn yet its original character still strikes through. Micheal and Katherine were so welcoming and really helpful. Their pictures of routes to the local areas were spot on and our kids loved looking for the next clue in the route!! We really did find a true gem and we cant wait to return!!!

We had a really lovely stay and we were so impressed with the property. It was a lovely location and the facilities within the house were great, especially the hot tub. I was particularly impressed with the Wifi speed, as I wasn't expecting it to be that good, given the location. Thank you so much for a lovely stay. We certainly plan to return in the future.

Beautiful, spacious cottage with everything we needed. Central to the Lakes and the Dales.

Damson Barn is the perfect holiday cottage. It's bright and airy and has everything you could want. It's ideally situated for local activities and amenities. The owners made us feel so welcome that we'll have to go back again soon. Faultless.

The property was absolutely everything we hoped for and more. It was stylish and comfortable, clean and practical. The rooms were so spacious and there was nothing that was missing. We were especially surprised at how fast the internet speed was, considering it's such an isolated property. Not that we spent much time on our computers, of course, but it was really great to be able to sit back and watch shows on Netflix and such in the evenings without the internet constantly dropping out, which is a problem we've encountered at other holiday properties far less isolated. The location was wonderful, too. There were so many great restaurants and pubs within a short drive of the property I highly recommend the Italian restaurant in Ingleton that was a highlight of the week for us, and the property was only a short drive to the Lake District just over half an hour to Windermere and we even managed two days out at Blackpool around an hour. I recommend booking restaurants well in advance if you can we were there on half term and found that getting tables at some of the restaurants was a tad tricky, especially on MondaysTuesdays when half of the restaurants in the area were closed. I was slightly hesitant about staying on a working farm because they can get noisy, but we slept with the windows wide open and we weren't disturbed once. Our hosts were wonderful. Katherine was especially friendly, and we loved being shown around the farm and being able to feed the little lambs. If we're in the Lake District again I would definitely make another booking.

Just perfect, we felt welcome right from the start of our holiday. Accommodation is first class, comfortable beds, great showers, everything one could need is there.

Fantastic cottage, well equipped, clean, comfortable. Excellent hosts Michael and Katherine. Be sure to ask them to take you round the farm to see the animals and explain more about farming. Will definitely return.
