This is an awesome place, everything you need, modern, spacious, very clean and extremely well equipped. Special mention for Angela who cleans and maintains the place and organises keys etc . One of the kids left their walking gym gear behind and Angela went out of her way to get it back to us after we got home. This was completely above and beyond her duties, but we were extremely grateful for her help. 1010 Angela. I highly recommend this place as a great getaway for a big family or even just a romantic weekend for loved up couples. Hot tub was a fabulous place at to end each night. Loads to do locally, great pubs and restaurants plus many wonderful walks, castles and activities such as Raby Castle etc. we liked it that much we may well come back next year. Lot of snow on the Saturday, so a lot of unexpected but truly wonderful memories that will stay with us forever Thanks guys xx.

Property was excellent for our stay. .lots of space in the living room and kitchen area which is where we spent most of our time. The kitchen was very well equipped and plenty of crockery, pots and pans to cook our meals. Bedrooms we spacious and comfy beds.

We have just come back and are looking at our next booking. The barn was absolutely stunning, prime location for exploring. Facilities were spotless.

Well what can we say ! !!!! Honestly this place blew us away. Absolutely stunning from start to finish. Angela the housekeeper was just amazing. Nothing was to much for her, to make our stay perfect. We are definitely coming back next year. So sad to come home this really was our dream house. Places to visit as a must is 1. Raby Castle 2. Grass Holme reservoir. 3. High force water falls, Bernard castle and town. So so much more . We live is a fabulous country and this area just shows us why. Thank you so much for so many fabulous memories xxxx

It is a beautiful property in excellent condition with wonderful surroundings.

Stunning property set in absolutely beautiful countryside. Perfect for a family get together and ideal for family member with a disability as bedrooms and bathroom on ground level. Would highly recommend this property. Only negative was that there was only one proper shower in downstairs bathroom. Outdoor area perfect for socialising and using the hot tub and grounds ideal for dogs as secure and safe.

Beautiful barn with fantastic grounds enjoyed by all three generations of our family. We were very lucky with the weather so used the excellent outdoor space every evening. The dog had the time of his life with the addition of the paddock. The hot tub was a great bonus. All in all a superb holiday cottage in a great location with so many attractions and great restaurants close by.

Absolutely amazing week away in such a beautiful home. Facilities were fabulous and clean, definitely one of the best we've stayed in.

Went for a 2 night stay at Bell Barn and it was fantastic. Like a home from home with everything youll need for a relaxing stay. Communication from the house keeper Angela was great. The Barn has a grand driveway. On arrival there was Prosecco and cookies. The kitchen is great for socialising and of course cook all utilities you could think of including a sonas sound system. Its the extras for me!! Dining area and lounge spacious for 8 adults. Bedrooms beautifully presented, clean and tidy. The only criticism id give is we could have done with more toilet roll 1 per bathroom wasnt enough and more towels too. We didnt think to bring them for the hot tub but will next time. Would definitely return.

This was my second visit to the Barn and one of the reasons we came back was because we enjoyed the experience so much first time round, the Barn itself offers everything you need for a peaceful break away from the daily hustle and bustle and is big enough to accommodate 8 easily. Had an amazing stay here for my friends 40th, house was spotless and has everything you need. The entrance to the house was amazing and so was the views, could not fault it at all I would definitely recommend this barn and will certainly go again, never met the owner but she was lovely with directions and was there if we needed her.

Had the most amazing time with the girls celebrating my pre 50th birthday. The house is amazing and very clean, the beds are so comfy too and well what can I say about the kitchen amazing it has everything you can want the only downside I can say it that the Icewater at the front of the fridge freezer wasn't in working order but parts were on order. However, there was a bag of ice left in the freezer so no issues at all. We arrived a wee bit early and were greeted by Angela the Housekeeper who was very friendly and forthcoming. We were able to leave cars on the drive and go off to explore. The hot tub was amazing, wasn't hot enough our first night due to a power surge in the garage but it was very welcoming in the morning to take a plunge so again not an issue, dressing gowns were also provided which was a huge bonus. We are looking at booking for next year and we wont take as much food with us next time. The local pub in Staindrop has a take away food van outside that is there I think on a Friday and Saturday night Pub doesn't do food so I think next time we will just order our food from there as you can eat it in the pub too. Had an absolutely wonderful stay, perfect for our family get together and birthday celebration. The house was immaculate with a very well equipped kitchen. The views are beautiful and the dogkids loved playing in the paddock. We were warmly welcomed by Angela who was on hand throughout our stay, yet everything went so well. We would certainly return and recommend to others.

Lovely property with plenty of space for all of us. However not quite the level of luxury we were hoping for given the expense. The lack of soap, shampoo etc from the bathrooms was surprising and disappointing. Happy with the free cake but the lack of coffee pods was a real shame, especially as the local shop didn't stock them. At least leave a few to keep everyone going until we go to a supermarket.

We have just returned from Bell House Barn. The property was amazing just like previous reviews had stated. It was clean and tidy and had everything that you needed for a weekend break. We took our dogs and the paddock was perfect for the pooches to stretch their legs. We also found recommended walks in a folder which we tried and enjoyed then relax in the hot tub was needed. Thank you Angela who maintained the property during our stay. We will definitely be retuning soon.

The Barn was exactly as advertised and the four days spent there absolutely wizzed by despite the fact we did absolutely nothing other than admire the fantastic views. Little Dog who came with us is still recovering from exploring the gardens round the building with the added bonus of his own paddock as well If we had a property like this would certainly not be renting out Thank you

Bell House Barn was exactly as shown on the website. Very clean, tidy and well looked after. Housekeeper Angela very friendly and helpful. There were 7 of us including 2 teenage boys who loved playing football in the paddock. Beautiful and spacious garden with views to die for! No proper hanging space in 2 upstairs bedrooms which was a bit awkward. Really recommend this gorgeous house to anyone looking for a peaceful and relaxing holiday.

The property was absolutely stunning and matched every picture on the site, its was incredibly clean and stocked with all the normal things you'd expect plus a well stocked kitchen that had plenty of pans, cutlery, cocktail jugs. The views are incredible and every day we saw various birds, rabbits and hares around the surrounding fields which just made it a really special experience waking up each morning, or when sitting in the hot tub and watching the sun set. As well as all the lovely walks in the area that was quite a but to see and do if youre willing to drive. Barnard Castle was just a 15min drive away, as was High Force waterfall. If your up for a longer drive you a can do a day trip to either York or Whitby which take about 1hr 20mins, both of which we did. All of this was amazing but the one thing that really made this trip was Angela the host She was there waiting for us when we arrived and was immediately made us feel at home with her big smiles and easy going personality, she had us laughing from the get go. She showed us everything we needed to know and was always available on text if we needed anything, twice on the holiday I messaged her, one of which was after 9pm, and both times she replied immediately despite this not being her full time job. She has by far been the best host ive ever dealt with and I hope she's still there when I come back, as I will definitely be coming back!

Absolutely beautiful house and grounds. Stayed for 7 nights and we cannot think of anything more that could enhance our stay. The sunny weather was a bonus too so if anything sun loungers would have been handy Housekeeper could not be more helpful and we look forward to returning later this year. Bell House Barn is in our top 3 UK holidays Excellent location for dogs who loved every minute too

Amazing accommodation for family Christmas get together. Bell House Barn was everything we expected and more. From the minute we arrived we were greeted with a warm, friendly welcome from Angela who ran us through all the ins and outs of the house and its facilities. A lovely welcome pack with prosecco, fresh bread, chocolates, Yule log, truffle, coffee as well as milk in the fridge got us off to a good start before our shopping arrived later that evening. It was also nice to have a Christmas tree and some festive decorations too. The house itself had everything we needed for 8 adults, a one year old and a dog. Big comfy sofa too comfy for some as it was difficult to get out of. Kitchen was ideal with plenty seating, TV, sound system and enough dishes for home made meals. Extra toilet off the kitchen with washing machine was a bonus in addition to the two bathrooms. Bedrooms were all comfortable and nicely decorated. Underfloor heating kept the property warm and cosy and each room could be individually heated to your desired temperature although we really didnt need to change it. The hot tub was a bonus and even in December was lovely sitting in there looking at the stars. The paddock at the side of the house was brilliant for the dog she loved going out there for a run and every time we opened the back door she ran right to the gate ready for her run about. Nice to have some treats and a toy and ball left for her too she loved the squeaky bone thank you. Surrounding Area A short 4 min drive to the village of Staindrop which was lovely, nice for a wee walk. There you will find a pub, Spar shop, newsagent, butcher and coffee shop which unfortunately was closed due to it being Christmas. Barnard Castle is about 10 mins in the car and lots of little quaint gift shops and places to eat. Can recommend Pennys for coffee and cake, The Three Horseshoes for lunch or dinner. Lovely walk around Flatts Wood. Mainsgill Farm Shop 20 mins drive is well worth a visit wish we had found it sooner. Lovely caf, plenty in the gift shop, homewear, clothing, food etc. Outside play area although was squelching with mud when we were there. Lots of animals for the kids. Overall we had a fantastic stay here over Christmas and will be recommending to family and friends.

We had a fantastic stay at Bell House Barn. The house is a home away from home with every detail thought about, and the hot tub is such a brilliant touch which is well positioned to enjoy the surrounding views. Angela was lovely and a welcome face to have around, very helpful and friendly a real gem! The kids had so much space to play games or just chill out. Its so peaceful and tranquil there and all of us didnt want to leave we will definitely be booking to come back one day. Thank you for a such a memorable holiday!

A wonderful barn conversion, with some of the best facilities we have ever seen . A delightful housekeeper who is very helpful, and nothing was to much trouble. The situation was ideal for many walks and places of interest . The hot tub was a lovely feature and very relaxing . All in all a great experience for us all

Honestly had a fabulous time and will probably take our family back if we get a chance The photos dont do the property any justice it was a really great place to stay filled with top quality fixtures and fittings throughout. . Ang the housekeeper was great also There are some fantastic places to eat as well!!! Cross keys and Hamsterley is top quality

Bell House Barn is a truly lovely and beautiful barn set in a charming countryside location. The accommodation is extremely comfortable and well appointed. The gardens and adjacent paddock are so peaceful and incredible useful if you have dogs in your party. The views from the property are excellent and the hot tub is a luxury with some of the best views of the surrounding countryside. The area is great for walking and sightseeing. The barn is so clean and very comfortable. The welcome hamper is a lovely touch and Angela the housekeeper is so friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble. We have booked again for next year, our only hesitation was the steep increase in price for next year, but we decided it was worth it for such a lovely, peaceful relaxing holiday. Highly recommended.

Had a fantastic stay, property was clean and spacious. The outside area was perfect as we had gorgeous weather would highly recommend.

The property was lovely and location just perfect for us and the dogs! ! Maybe a bit pricey for this time of year though so wouldnt return for this reason only.

Bell House Barn far exceeded our expectations. The quality of the fixtures and fittings was superb. There were so many extra little touches they really had thought of everything. Thank you for making it a fabulous weekend.

This holiday let is by far the best we have ever stayed in. The setting is idyllic so peaceful and stunning views. The hot tub was very clean and the whole family thoroughly enjoyed it. The extra paddock area was fantastic for our dog and she loved chasing the kids around it. We did sadly have an issue with a wasps nest in the main garden so was unable to use it to its full potential but Angela and the owner were trying to rectify this it didnt bother us in the hot tub, but we had to keep the doors from the house to the garden closed. We used the charcoal bbq but unfortunately the previous people who used it had not cleaned it after use nor had they the coffee machine, so we did have to clean a few bits before use. However the rest of the property was spotless the bedding towels and soft furnishings are of very high quality as are the beds so comfy The couple of issues mentioned above were sorted quickly and it would not stop us booking Bell house barn again, its absolutely stunning the pictures dont really do it justice.

We had a lovely family stay at Bell House Barn. The garden and paddock were perfect for kids and dogs, whilst the hot tub was great for the adults. Very clean property and Angela was a friendly and attentive housekeeper.

Great house in an idyllic setting. Angela was very helpful and is there should you require anything. We asked about a Chef and Angela got this sorted for us. Lee was amazing and a great addition to our fabulous break. What more do you want whilst on holiday someone to cook for you! Cant wait to go back and throughly recommend
